Degrees giving you the Best Jobs In 2015
Most students are keen on pursuing a computer science or engineering degree as these tend to guarantee a profitable career. However, you can also think about studying business and enter the corporate world. But how can you know which degrees are most popular among employers? You don’t need to scratch your head for that. A recent study, published by the non-profit National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), lists the top ranking majors most employers are looking for among the students of 2015.
What Did The Survey Find?
NACE surveyed around 260 organisations and companies and received interesting responses to questionnaire surveys from August to early October this year. The survey was primarily regarding the plans of employers to recruit candidates who will pass out from graduate schools and colleges in 2015. The survey respondents mainly included big corporations like Schlumberger, Procter & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, Chevron, Cargill etc. The study also included a number of small non-profits such as the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
So What Are The Most Popular Majors Among Recruiters?
The study segregated the top 10 degrees for graduates acquiring bachelor’s, master’s and doctorates degrees. For bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees, Finance, Accounting and Computer Science are the top 3 degrees, according to the NACE study. However, for doctorate degrees, the top 3 degrees were only in engineering, namely computer engineering, electrical engineering and chemical engineering.
