As the educators are conceptualising it, there should be an innovative way of learning which helps to grow the interest of studying among learners. In this first-changing world, technology should be utilised properly so that way of learning appear attractive to the learners. Increasing interest among the students is required to increase the overall human development of a nation.
Online learning, in this scenario, is the most efficient way of passing on knowledge. And initiating this advanced mode of learning in the workplace is all the more necessary because it is the sole way to upskill the employees.

Implementing online learning in the workplace is the strategy management can utilise to upgrade the key skills of his workforce. All Employees are same regarding the need for education. So online learning comes as a solution for employees. Employers should focus on innovative learning which saves both cost and time. There are various ways that any business can use more learning.

Employee Manuals:

Online course modules are converted into engaging videos and employees are provided with a deadline in which they need to complete all sections. It will be more flexible for them to divide the time slot when they can watch the video. If they have a laptop, they can watch it while travelling, which will be more interesting and time-saving. So, Employee Manuals play a major role regarding learning. Thus, while designing the employers manual need much concentration.

An employee who recently got promoted for him the body of knowledge and skill must be learned. Online learning helps that employee to learn on his schedule. Each employee can schedule his own time and access the training module. For a long prospect, new members can train himself without the help of a senior employee.

Micro learning is all about learning in an interactive environment. Giving the learners independence provides a sense of self-assessment. People will be much more updated. They will get the proper knowledge without help of anyone. So if any manager who is willing to provide training to team members the first thinking should be of online learning.

Here are 3 ways to make online learning work for your employees:

  1. Learning module should be updated on a regular basis. All modules should be mobile friendly. It's not possible to carry laptop everywhere. So there should be mobile apps for online learning. They can use chunks of 5-10 minutes.
  2. As much interaction as possible. Quiz, Game and interactive videos can be powerful tool for learning. It also helps to increase the IQ level of employees. It will also be reflected in their work to some extent.
  3. Our brain and micro learning. Now we need to consider how members of workforce get the information outside of work. They get it in little chunks. They can watch video, access an Instagram or Facebook post. The effect of video or game comes to our brain directly. Businesses definitely take advantage of this. If we compare training with online learning, then the cost will come as big factor.
Online learning is very much cost saving. Tech users focus on short period. Not all employee training can't be possible with this mode of education. But most of them can. Employees can be empowered and educate themselves within very short span of time.
