Have you ever wondered why classroom learning has remained a craze for generations? To be honest, there are a lot of answers to this question. Well, the best answer is ‘convention’ that has actually allowed this learning pattern to score high all these years. Today, speed has emerged to be a crucial factor that is making new age learners shun those outdated learning styles. Rather, the majority have started looking for tech-based learning strategies for meeting their career objectives faster as well as for gaining more productivity.

Where speed has turned out to be an important factor, the role of technology has strengthened to a good extent, and this has given rise to the popularity, or rather, the necessity of online learning. In fact, academicians and employers have started realising the relevance and effectiveness of online learning for higher studies. Well, there are a lot of reasons behind it.

In terms of expediency:

  • Online learners grab the opportunity to work and study as per their own convenience.
  • Qualifications and certificates earned through accredited online colleges or universities are similar to those earned from traditional institutions.
  • One can enjoy the liberty to study from wherever one wishes.

In terms of affordability:

  • Online students pay 1/3rd less than what campus-based students pay for their courses.
  • There are certain online learning institutions that allow students to access pay-as-you-go schemes so that they will not have to pay the full amount upfront.
  • For employees, they often get financial assistance from their employers in completing a professional course.

In terms of recognition:

  • Online courses are designed in such a manner that students get the opportunity to learn real-life applications that prove quite effective for them to progress professionally.
  • Working and studying at the same time helps one to enhance career prospects.
  • Online degree holders possess time management skills that might impress their future employers to hire them.

80% of the students desire working and studying at the same time

In February 2013, David Willets, the minister of the UK universities said, “Online learning has the potential to be one of the UK biggest export opportunities”.

Moreover, reporters have found that around 80% of the students are now expecting to get employed while studying in universities, while just a quarter of them have raised questions in regard to balancing work and studies.

91% of the full-time students have been found worrying about funding money for daily living, according to a recent poll conducted by Student Money Saver. Well, if you don’t want to be a part of them, believe it or not, choosing to learn online can of course save you.

So, if you have plans for higher studies, say a masters degree in business management, and you know that you can’t quit work so easily, do not panic. Learning online from a recognised international business school will rather help you earn your masters degree faster and you will not be required to pay extras just like what campus-based students do.
