E-learning or learning with the use of electronic media includes numerous types of media that deliver text, audio, images, animation, and streaming video, and includes technology applications and processes such as audio or video tape, satellite TV, CD-ROM, and computer-based learning, as well as local intranet/extranet and web-based learning.

Information and communication systems, whether free-standing or based on either local networks or the Internet in network learning, constitute a part of e-learning processes. They should not be regarded as the only way employees are to be trained. Instead, it should encourage a strategic approach to training in the world of business.

With the passage of time, many companies slowly discovered the fact that there are several loopholes in e-learning as well as commendable points. It was a cost-reductive method and efficient at the same time. The quality of training was also praiseworthy.

What kind of problems came up with the use of e-learning?

The primary problem lies with the worker who faces difficulty in recollecting the knowledge acquired from e-learning and using it practically while working for a company. It is suitable for imparting theoretical knowledge. People concerned with company culture or basic policies and procedures are benefitted from this way of learning. Finding references is a major challenge which is faced by enthusiastic learners.

What do you mean by Strategy?

Gerry Johnson and Kevan Scholes, authors of "Exploring Corporate Strategy," say that strategy determines the direction and scope of an organization over the long term, and they say that it should determine how resources should be configured to meet the needs of markets and stakeholders.

Michael Porter, a strategy expert and professor at Harvard Business School, emphasizes the need for strategy to define and communicate an organization's unique position, and says that it should determine how organizational resources, skills, and competencies should be combined to create competitive advantage.

There are three levels of strategy-corporate, business and team.

What Is Corporate Strategy?

Corporate strategy refers to the overall strategy of an organization that is made up of multiple business units, operating in multiple markets. It determines how the corporation as a whole supports and enhances the value of the business units within it.

What Is Business Strategy?

Strategy at the business unit level is concerned with competing successfully in individual markets.

What is team strategy?

A team that works together is necessary to execute the corporate and business unit strategies successfully. Each of these teams has a different contribution to make, which implies that each team needs to have its own team-level strategy.

This team strategy must lead directly to the achievement of the business unit and corporate strategies, to ensure that the organization is successful.

We can observe how important strategy is in the lives of those who are trying to build and work for a company. These are essential for the practical growth of any company.
